Your South London Celebrant

Hello! I'm Mair Garland, a trusted and experienced celebrant based in South London.

I first trained as a celebrant in 2020 (in the midst of a global pandemic!) following a career in the communications sector. Witnessing families coming together after such a long time apart made me truly appreciate the value of celebrating all of life's milestones - it's a real privilege to play a small role in the most significant and memorable occasions of my clients' lives. 

 

I love creating meaningful and beautiful ceremonies that tell your unique story in a warm and authentic tone of voice. With a lifelong love of music and literature, I'm always happy to help with suggestions of what might work for your ceremony. 

 

Originally from Wales, I’m a proud Welsh speaker and I also speak French fluently after studying the language for my degree and spending time living and working in France – I'm proud to specialise in bilingual ceremonies in both languages. Though if you speak another language, I'm always happy to learn a few words for your ceremony!

Outside of work, I enjoy singing in my local choir and going on dog walks with my husband and our young son.
